Servant School

What's a "Servant School" you say?  It's a chance to dig in deeper, grow a little closer, and learn a little more about maturity in Christ.  The Bible teaches that true maturity in Christ is about being a servant, just as Jesus was the "servant of all".

This current six week session session we are featuring three free classes to choose from:

Pastor Dave Dunagan will be leading a class through the classic book by J. Oswald Sanders, "Spiritual Discipleship".

Pastor Caleb Beller will be teaching a class on prayer - everything from learning to pray better in your devotions to learning to pray over others.

Pastor Rich Cathers will continue his verse-by-verse study through the book of Romans.

Ladies' Study

We meet on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. in Holmberg Hall. We're working our way through the DVD study by Beth Moore, entitled “A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place”. This is a great time to come join us! Childcare is available. If you need a book or would like more information, contact Debby Cathers.

There have been some changes to the upcoming Israel trip.  The dates have changed slightly - the trip is now scheduled to be November 6-18, 2008.  In addition, due to rising fuel costs, the cost has gone up but is now finally locked in at $3485.  It looks like Israel is the hot ticket this year.  Everybody wants to be in Israel this year for the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence.  The good news is that our airline tickets and hotel reservations are now reserved and locked in.

There is still time to sign up! Let us know if you're interested. For an updated Flyer, click here.  For the updated Registration form, click here. To see the proposed Itinerary, click here.  To download the "gift certificate" payment coupons, click here.

The Pastor's Corner

The search was on for a king (1Sam. 9). Israel had never had a king before, at least not a legitimate one. Who would it be? While the people waited for God’s choice of king, the donkeys of Kish decided to run off.
